Bizarre: Missing FRSC Officer and Daughter Found Dead in an Osun Herbalist’s Home

…Herbalist Wife Arrested as Manhunt Widens for Fugitive Suspect….

The disappearance of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, and her young daughter, Sewa, has ended in tragedy after their bodies were reportedly discovered inside the residence of a suspected herbalist in Osun State.

Lasisi, a 38-year-old officer serving with the FRSC Abeokuta Unit, went missing alongside her daughter on Sunday, November 2, 2025, after leaving their home at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

When family members and colleagues were unable to reach her, a formal report was filed at the Kemta Divisional Police Headquarters on November 5.

Fresh details emerged over the weekend when a source close to the bereaved husband confirmed that the remains of the officer and her child were recovered from the house of a herbalist in an undisclosed Osun community, making Osun State the grim focal point of the unfolding case.

In the wake of the discovery, police operatives arrested the herbalist’s wife, while the prime suspect her husband has reportedly fled, triggering an intense manhunt.

Investigators believe the herbalist may have played a central role in the deaths, although the circumstances are still being pieced together.

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, Ph.D., has ordered a full-scale investigation and directed homicide detectives to work closely with Osun State police authorities to track down the fugitive suspect.

“The loss of an officer and her child in such disturbing circumstances is unacceptable. We will pursue every lead to uncover the truth and bring all responsible individuals to justice,” the Commissioner said.

The gruesome discovery has plunged the FRSC community in Abeokuta and residents of the victims’ neighbourhood into deep mourning, with many struggling to process the shocking turn of events.

Police are urging anyone with credible information on the whereabouts of the fleeing herbalist to come forward as the investigation intensifies.

The herbalist wife has since been arrested, as Manhunt Widens for Fugitive the Suspect: her husband the herbalist.
