The emergence of Hon (Chief) Kamorudeen Ajisafe as the National Vice Chairman of PDP in South-West Nigeria has been likened to putting a square peg in a square hole when viewed against his many political antecedents over the years as a resourceful politician who has made indelible imprints for the growth and development of PDP locally and nationally.
Osun State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi made this known in a press statement issued after the emergence of Hon. Ajisafe after a meeting of the party which held in Ibadan, Oyo State and attended by prominent PDP stalwarts and leaders including His Excellency Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the amiable Governor of Osun State and his Oyo state counterpart, Governor Seyi Makinde.
Alimi’s statement on the emergence of Hon. Kamorudeen Ajisafe as National Vice Chairman, South West of PDP reads in part; “It gladdens my heart, deeply coupled with the fact that it is a thing of joy and fulfillment, not only for me as your brother from the same political constituency but the entire people of Osun state.
“For the entire political leaders, elders and egg-heads of the party in the entire Southwest to have put their thinking caps together as one united family under one political umbrella in endorsing your candidature and eventual emergence as a National Vice Chairman of our great party, PDP in the South West, is an eloquent testimony to the fact that you are not a small fry in the political firmament of PDP in the entire Southwest.
“My dear Hon. Ajisafe, permit me to also add that, with your emergence the sky is your starting point as you continue to do your best for the growth and development of the PDP in the Southwest and Nigeria as a whole.
