Savings And Internal Lending Community: HFDI Begins With Three Groups In Ikot Umiangede

Hope for family development Initiative Akwa Ibom State has kicked off Savings And Internal Lending SILC Community with three groups in Akwa Ibom state.

 

The three SILC groups situated at Ikot Umiangede community in Etinan Local government is to provide its members access to basic financial services.

 

The savings group members who are to meet weekly, are to fund their SILC by accumulating their savings, from which they can borrow as individuals when in need and to repay with very minimal interest.


HFDI expressed satisfaction of the group which consist of over 15 members each, and the members had the opportunity to share their experiences, on how the organization has been able to guide them through a successful circle.

 

The SILC members also highlighted how beneficial the group has been to them and their businesses.

 

HFDI team commended the SILC group growth, while encouraging every member to continue to abide by the objectives and rules governing the group.
