ACOMIN Reiterates Determination With CBOs To Solve Health Challenges In Osun PHCs


Accountability of Civil Society Organizations on Malaria Control, Immunization and Nutrition, ACOMIN has reiterated its objectives determination with Community Based Organizations CBOs, to solve health challenges in Osun Primary Healthcare Centres.

This was disclosed at the monthly coordination meeting held at the Conference hall of Omilas Continental Hotel, to dialogue on activities of the CBOs, successes and challenges.

 

Addressing the organizations, the state chairman of ACOMIN, Dr Aremu Stephen Akinyele, reiterated that being determined to solve any challenges accustomed with the target PHCs and the community, is what will give success story.

 

He maintained the need for collaboration with stakeholders in the communities where the PHCs are domiciled in the ACOMIN selected local governments, adding that this will boost the confidence of the people in relying on the service providers.

Dr Aremu, asserted that consistent followups must be made on the stakeholders discuss, towards achieving the set objectives of ACOMIN, and he commended the CBOs for being dedicated to the work plan on eradicating malaria, and other objectives.

 

In his reports, the State Program Officer SPO Segun David Amoto, listed the challenges encountered in some of the Primary Healthcare Centres as lack of staff, stockout on ACT malaria drugs and non consumables among others.

He added that the challenges were listed in the dialogues with stakeholders, who promised to come up with solution, while ACOMIN has also made report to the State Primary Healthcare Development Board for the necessary intervention, so as to make available the treatment kits at the PHCs in Osun state.
