ONDO COURT REINSTATEMENT: STOP MISLEADING THE PUBLIC, UNIMED TELLS SACKED DEPUTY VICE-CHANCELLOR, PROF. ADOLPHOUS LOTO

By Ifeoluwa Nelson,

The attention of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo City has been drawn to a report by _Sunshine Truth_ , an online media platform, with the caption “Ondo Court Reinstates ‘Sacked UNIMED Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Adolphous O. Loto”.

This report according to Ezekiel Adeniran, UNIMED Deputy Registrar, Governing Council and General Administration, is mendacious and a calculated attempt to mislead the public with a view to creating an imaginary crisis within the peaceful and progressive university community.

“We will like to inform the general public that the matter is still in court and no judge has made any pronouncement that the ‘sacked’ DVC be reinstated.”

The _Sunshine Truth_ is hereby enjoined to retract the story within the next 7 days, by painting the situation as it is and give it the same publicity as this one. Failure to do this may lead to a legal action against the online newspaper for deliberately distorting facts with the intention of causing chaos within UNIMED.

Please let it be noted that the University will not resort to a war of attrition on the pages of newspaper over a matter that is still in court. At the appropriate time, we will make a comprehensive statement on the matter so as to put the records straight.
