OSCOTECH Alumni Inaugurate Constitution Review Committee

In line with ensuring that the Alumni Association of the Osun State College of Technology EsaOke has a standard constitution that guides its activities therein, a new Constitution Review Committee has been inaugurated.

The inauguration made by the National President of the OSCOTECH Alumni, Hon Adewale Afolabi held online on Sunday evening.

In it’s inauguration speech, the president listed the objectives and charged the constitution review committee chairman and members on the need to be proactive, and prioritise production of the constitution, which is the desire of all the alumni association members.

Reiterating that the association will always use the constitution as a yardstick to take decisions that will develop the association, he also urged them to take the opinion of members from various chapters into consideration.

He opined that having the constitution reviewed was part of his campaign mantra.

Hon Afolabi asserted that the constitution to be reviewed and reproduced should be futuristic in usage in the interest of all, and he thanked the committee members for accepting the call to serve.

In his acceptance speech, the Chairman of the Constitution Review Committee, Comrade Waheed Saka pointed out that the task ahead is not just to have a truly acceptable constitution, but to also unite the association members in home, and in the diaspora.

According to him, “We must be courageous enough to do the right thing for posterity, and he prayed God to give the wisdom to do the best.”

Furthermore, the Constitution Review Chairman who is from Osogbo Chapter of the association, added that it is time for the association to have a formidable constitution, that would unite and bring succour to all.

He called for the support of members to have a constitution that will stand the test of time, to cater for members both in home and the diaspora.

Other members of the constitution review committee were drawn from the home chapter, Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, Ekiti and Diaspora chapters.
