The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, has intensified efforts to boost the operational readiness of the Corps with a specialised capacity-building programme for its Female Strike Force, FSF.

The two-day workshop, which opened in Abuja on Monday, is aimed at sharpening the Force’s operational delivery, research capabilities and intelligence-driven approach to security.

Flagging off the training, Prof. Audi said women are critical actors in modern security architecture, particularly in intelligence gathering, conflict prevention, peacebuilding and tactical operations.

He reaffirmed management’s commitment to providing the Female Strike Force with the institutional support and professional development needed to maximise its potential and deliver on the Corps’ mandates.

“The investment in the Female Strike Force goes beyond capacity building. It is about equipping our personnel with critical thinking, evidence-based research and strategic intelligence skills required to make informed decisions and achieve measurable results in the field,” the CG stated.

According to the NSCDC boss, the programme also reinforces the Corps’ commitment to protecting Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, CNAI, while promoting a security system where tactical capability is strengthened by intelligence, innovation and professionalism.

He noted that under his leadership, the NSCDC continues to demonstrate that effective security is built not only on strength, but on training, intelligence, professionalism and preparedness.

The workshop is part of Prof. Audi’s broader reform drive to build a highly trained, professional and agile workforce capable of responding effectively to the complexities of modern security threats and delivering on every mandate entrusted to the Corps by the Federal Government.
