The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, has urged artisans across Ede to remain united and fully committed to the re-election of Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, declaring that the governor’s people-oriented policies, developmental strides, and commitment to improving the lives of citizens deserve another four years in office.
Akinleye made the call during a strategic town hall meeting organised by the Forum of Ede Youth Development Association (FEYDA), which brought together more than 85 artisan groups and associations from Ede North and Ede South.
The gathering, which attracted artisans, community leaders, and political stakeholders, became a platform for the artisans to reaffirm their confidence in Governor Adeleke’s administration and pledge their support for his second-term ambition ahead of the August 15 Osun State Governorship Election.
Addressing the artisans, the Chief of Staff appreciated their continued loyalty and support for Governor Adeleke, describing them as critical stakeholders whose contributions remain indispensable to the economic growth and development of Osun State.
He noted that artisans represent the backbone of the grassroots economy, adding that their businesses, skills, and daily efforts contribute immensely to job creation, wealth generation, and community development.
“Artisans are not just workers; you are builders of families, communities, and the economy. Your support for Governor Ademola Adeleke and his administration is highly appreciated. We encourage you to remain united and continue to support a government that has demonstrated commitment to the welfare and development of the people,” Akinleye said.
The Chief of Staff highlighted the achievements of the Adeleke administration, citing its people-centred policies, infrastructure projects, youth empowerment initiatives, and programmes aimed at improving the standard of living of residents across the state.
According to him, the governor’s commitment to inclusive governance and his determination to bring meaningful development to every sector of society are clear indications that Osun State deserves continuity under his leadership.
He urged the artisans and other residents of the state to support Governor Adeleke’s re-election bid, stressing that another term would provide an opportunity for the administration to consolidate its achievements and deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.
“Governor Ademola Adeleke has shown that governance is about the people. His policies and projects have touched lives across Osun State, and we believe this journey of development should continue. We are calling on all artisans to stand together and support his re-election come August 15,” he added.
Akinleye further encouraged artisan associations to embrace cooperative structures, explaining that unity among them would strengthen their ability to access government empowerment programmes, financial support, training opportunities, and other interventions.
Responding to the call, representatives of the artisan groups expressed their readiness to stand with Governor Adeleke and work towards his victory at the polls. They pledged to mobilise their members and cast their votes in support of the governor’s second-term bid.
The meeting, facilitated by FEYDA under the leadership of its National President, Comrade Afolabi Waliu Abiola, was described as a significant grassroots engagement aimed at strengthening the relationship between government and the people.
Stakeholders at the event noted that the support of artisans, who form a major part of the state’s economic structure, would play an important role in the outcome of the August 15 governorship election.
The event ended with a renewed commitment by the artisan community to continue supporting Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration, with a shared message that unity, continuity, and people-focused leadership remain key to achieving greater development in Osun State.
