You Are Jealous of the Peace in OSTMS Under Alowonle – SSA on Transportation Replies NURTW
The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Transportation, Hon. Salaam Hamid Adewale has labeled members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers(NURTW) as enemies of peace in Osun State.
He said members of the Union are obviously jealous and shocked by the peaceful manner the Osun State Transport Management System(OSTMS) has been operating under their Chairman, Comrade Wakeel Nurudeen which is why they are happy that he was shot in police custody.
Hon. Adewale made these known in a statement while reacting to a release credited to Kazeem Oyewale, Chairman of the NURTW in Osun where he described Alowonle as a criminal.
Hon. Adewale in the statement said he is not surprised that Kazeem Oyewale could be talking carelessly, stressing that he is still suffering from the fact that Comrade Wakil Nurudeen Alowonle has been able to bring relative peace to the midst of Commercial Drivers in Osun State.
He described Kazeem Oyewale as a failure whose reign as Chairman of NURTW in Osun has been marked with violence and infighting within the ranks of transporters in the State, a situation which Alowonle has turned around.
Hon. Adewale in the statement emphasized that any reasonable person will condemn the treatment meted on a human being who has not been convicted by a court of any crime but shot while in police custody.
He explained that the excitement of Kazeem Oyewale over Alowonle’s predicament is a clear indication that he is not a man of honour.
According to the statement, “I am not surprised reading the comments of Kazeem Oyewale, we all know the kind of person he is, he is a known trouble maker, the NURTW has never been settle under him till today. Why will he not be jealous of Alowonle?
“He is obviously jealous of the achievements of Comrade Wakil Nurudeen Alowonle, he is pained that another person is doing what he could not do, there is relative peace within the ranks of transporters in Osun State as we speak today and thanks to Alowonle.
“Governor Ademola Adeleke appointed Alowonle for specific reasons, one, to bring peace into the midst of Commercial transport operators in Osun State and secondly to block leakages and ensure government revenue increases, these he is delivering on, meanwhile Kazeem Oyewale failed in these regard, why won’t he be jealous of Alowonle?.
“For Kazeem Oyewale to describe Alowonle as an impostor is laughable and it shows his lack of knowledge and understanding, how can you call a State Governor’s appointee an impostor? Does it make sense?”
