Outstanding National Contributions: Oba Makama Inducted into Nigerian Book of Records Hall of Fame

The Owu of Kuta kingdom was agog with excitement as the paramount ruler of the ancient town, HRM Oba Hammered Adekunle Oyelude Makama CON Tegbosun II, was inducted into the prestigious Nigerian Book of Records Hall of Fame.
At the historic event held at Owu-Kuta’s Palace in Ayedire local government area of Osun state, the Director-General of the Nigerian Book of Records, Dr. David Davis stated that “the recognition is as a result of his significant contributions to Nation Building, advancing the culture of Nigeria, Africa and the continent in general for the overall development of the country.
According to him, the Olowu of Kuta, Oba Hammeed Adekunle Oyelude Makama has made Nigeria proud, with his outstanding contributions to the development of Kuta Kingdom, Osun state, and Nigeria as a whole.
He stressed that the organisation is to decorate him for induction into the prestigious Nigerian Book of Record, adding that he is the first to be so honoured in Osun State”.
Speaking further, Dr David opined that “His Majesty has made Nigeria proud in many aspects, and we are honoured to induct him into our Hall of Fame.”
We are here today to recognize the Olowu of Kuta, HRH Oba Hammeed Adekunle Oyelude Makama, CON, Tegbosun III, for his outstanding contributions to the development of Kuta Kingdom and Nigeria as a whole.
We believe that his induction into the Nigerian Book of Records Hall of Fame will serve as an inspiration to others to strive for excellence.”
In his remark, HRH Oba Hammeed Adekunle Oyelude Makama, CON, expressed his appreciation to the Director, Hall of Fame, Nigerian Book of Records and his team ‘ for the esteemed honour.’
”I am humbled to be recognized for my humble contributions to Kuta Kingdom and Nigeria, I thank my people for their unwavering support and my fellow traditional rulers for their support.”
This recognition is a testament to our collective efforts towards progress and development. “We promise to double our efforts”, Kabiyesi Makama said.
Representing the Osun state governor, the Osun state polytechnic Rector, Mr. Kehinde Alabi said that “the induction of Olowu of Kuta has underscored the monarch’s influence and dedication to the country’s development”.
“This recognition will undoubtedly inspire others to strive for excellence and contribute to Nigeria’s growth .
“The Olowu of Kuta’s achievement serves as a shining example of the impact that individuals can have on their communities and the nation at large.
Dignitaries at the induction ceremony include, Timi of Ede-land, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal Laminusa II, Professor Siyan Oyeweso, Hon Justice Olajide, Professor Oguntola Alamu and Engr. Dele Akintola, Director World Institute of Peace, the Olu of Ile-Ogbo, Oba Hamid Adetoyese, the Eburu of Iba, Prof. Adekunle, among others.
Highlight of the event was the decoration and induction of Oba Makama, and presentations from the Big Brothers Club and the Ola-Ore group to honour the Olowu of Owu-kuta at the ceremony.
