Osun State Transportation Master Plan Underway – Transport Commissioner, Oyedele

In an effort to ease transportation challenges and for easier vehicular movement across the State, plans are underway for a comprehensive Transportation Master plan.

 

The Transportation Master plan among other things will aim to solve sundry issues relating movement of goods and services from one location to another.

 

Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Sesan Oyedele made the disclosure while briefing newsmen in his office.

 

The Commissioner said the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has graciously approved that the Ministry of Transportation should go ahead and come up with a robust Master plan that will improve the sector.

 

He said the Governor is determined to make Osun State Transportation sector one of the best around the world in terms of efficiency and revenue generation for the State.

 

Hon. Oyedele said the drawing of the master plan will definitely involve other sectors of the State which principally will be the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure because of their involvement with road networks.

 

The Commissioner who commended the State Governor for his commitment to improving the transport sector in Osun, emphasized that the Governor has never failed to give support to the Ministry of Transportation since its creation.

 

He however urged residents of the State to always show cooperation with officials of the Ministry of Transportation while carrying out their official duties of ensuring sanity on the roads at all times.
