Guidance and Counselling: HFDI Sensitizes Secondary Students On Discovery

Using Guidance and Counseling as a tool to aid secondary school students on the path to the future, on what they want to study and become in life, Hope for Family Development Initiatives HFDI sensitized secondary school students on discovery.

 

This was carried out through HFDI school outreach at Eyitayo Group of School, Agubelewo area, Osogbo, where the facilitator Alagbile Comfort talked about self discovery.

 

The HFDI officer told the students that self discovery aid lifelong journey that involves exploring and understanding oneself on a deep and understanding level.

 

Elucidating discovery, she cited that as a student “if you discover yourself early in life it will help you to develop a good sense of identity, purpose and direction in life, added that this process include identifying, understanding behaviour, feeling, strengths and weaknesses.

 

She highlighted to the students, ways to discovery which includes:

* Identifying interest

* Knowing your strength and weaknesses

* Trying new things, and

*Seeking Feedback

While she opined that seeking feedback will help you to evaluate yourself, alongside your goals and ambition.
