GBV Prevention: Osun Multistakeholders Action Committee Holds Coordination and Accountability Meeting, Renew Focus

With the aim of preventing gender based violence against women and girls in Osun, the state Multistakeholders Action Committee on GBV prevention, held its coordination and accountability meeting to review, and strategise ahead 2026 project year.

 

The Coordination and Accountability Meeting which has the stakeholders from various bodies in Osun state held at Aenon Suite Conference hall Osogbo.

 

The Multistakeholders Action Committee on GBV Prevention with its map out plan also renewed its focus on ending gender based violence against women and children through its prevention strategies.

 

In his remarks, the Action Aid Nigeria Project Advisor, MAP GBV, Ademola Adeniran lauded the commitment of the members, while stating highlights for upcoming year, which includes a refresher training.

 

He also charged the Multistakeholders Action Committee on readiness for 16 days activism programme, which he said should be inclusive and impactful on the female gender, he added that adding their voices will further increase awareness to the good people of the state.

 

The Osun state Multistakeholders Action Committee on Prevention of Gender Based Violence is headed by a Chairman, HRM Oba Dr Adedokun Omoniyi Abolarin Aroyinkeye-1 Orangun of Oke-Ila, and it’s activities coordinated by Action Aid Nigeria in Collaboration with the Ministry of Women Affairs, Children and Social Welfare.
