As part of HFDI Kwara effort to strengthen family relationship, Hope for Family Development Initiative HFDI with its Ebi-Alayo SINOVUYO Program under the GC7/N-TRIP held a teens program on cultural values and positive discipline.

The session which held at Ehingbo, Omu-Aran, focused on raising responsible teens in a changing society, with the HFDI team addressing participants which include caregivers and teenagers.

The program facilitator, Mrs. Oladimeji Temitope Morenikeji, who welcomed the participants engaged them in light exercises and an emotional check-in to set a comfortable and interactive tone for the program.

As part of the topic of the day, “Praising Each Other” was emphasised as important in the family unit, that Praise builds a child’s self-confidence and strengthens bond between parents and children.

Furthermore, she opined that a positive and respectful family relationship is nurtured through praise.

She also addressed managing anger in the Family, stressing the importance of managing anger constructively, warning that uncontrolled anger can lead to damage, which could even cause loss of life.

The facilitator encouraged the caregivers to practice principles consistently to foster mutual respect and emotional well-being in families, adding that the door of HFDI is always open to offer assistance.
