NAWOJ NATIONAL BODY CONDOLES WITH AKWA IBOM OVER DEMISE OF FIRST LADY PATIENCE UMO ENO

The National Secretariat of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has received with rude shock news of the death of Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

To say the least, the association is saddened by this development, but take solace in the fact that while she lived, she worked hard in the service of the Almighty God, tilling the Vineyard and bringing solace to humanity through several good deeds.

Her Excellency impacted positively on women, the girl-child and family institutions at large through her pet project, Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), targeted at enhancing the lives of men, women, children, youths and vulnerable persons in the society and made several gains for women on Gender Development and Peace initiatives.

We condole His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, the rest of her family, the good people of Akwa Ibom State and all her well-wishers.

While wishing her immediate family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, we also join all those in the frontline of Advocacy for women empowerment, gender inclusion and political parity to mourn Her Excellency and wish her soul peaceful repose.

We pray the Almighty God to accept her soul in Paradise. Amen.
