Efficient Salary Preparation: Osun Govt. Trains Desk Officers of Local Governments, Primary Healthcare Board  and SUBEB

In a bid to aid the effective and efficient preparation of salaries and allowance of staff in the Local Governments, primary healthcare centers and SUBEB, the State government has engaged salary desk Officers in a continuous training program.

 

It would be recalled that Governor Ademola Adeleke made it clear that welfare of the entire workforce is the number one cardinal agenda of his administration and in furtherance of this, the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs organized a day sensitization and training for salary desk officers on utilization of the Local Integrated Financial Management Information System for Human Resource/Payroll Utilization.

 

Speaking during the training ,the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,Barr. Dosu Babatunde stated that the era of Salary processing through CHAMS will soon be over, that the company has been given notice of Service disengagement,  effective from November 2024.

 

Barr. Dosu Babatunde therefore charged all salary desk Officers to be more efficient and effective and understand the nitty-gritty of salary preparation, while warning them on infraction in the payment of salaries and pension.

 

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Ministy of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Olufemi Ogundun thanked Governor Adeleke for taking the welfare of the workforce as priority.

 

Also speaking the Osun State Statistician General, Mr Yemi Ijidele appreciated the Governor for allowing the salary desk officers to go back to their normal duties.

 

In attendance were, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government Matters , Hon. Oluwasegun Goddey Olije,

 

the Director of Local Government and Inspectorate, Mr Tajudeen Adelabu, Director of Account and Finance, Mr. Joseph Jimoh, SIFIMIS Manager in the State, Mr. Gabriel Oginni and the LIMIS Manager in the State Mr. Onifade Olarewaju
