ACOMIN SAT Advocates Intervention Of State Primary Healthcare Development Board On Health Facilities In Osun

Accountability of Civil Society on Malaria Control and Immunization, ACOMIN State Advocacy Team has advocated for the intervention of the State Primary Healthcare Development Board SPHCB on providing a functioning health facilities for people of the state.
This is as the malaria eradication non governmental organization sought for the intervention of the state government through the healthcare board to ensure that the people of Osun continue to have access to the health facilities.
The ACOMIN SAT over its monthly advocacy visits to Kelebe in Osogbo local government, and Asunmo and Oke Gada facilities in Ede North local government area, held discussion with the PHC Coordinator, Dr Akintayo on resolution to lack of power and water supply affecting the aforementioned facilities.
Addressing the Director, the ACOMIN State Chairman, Ambassador Dr Aremu Stephen Akinyele urged the state primary health care board to be proactive in delivering qualitative and accessible health care to the people in relation to the agenda of the state government.
Responding, the Director, Dr Akintayo assured the team that the identified challenge will be captured in the Basic Health Care Provision Fund, BHCPF in the next quarterly business plan, and the matters will be given attention.
Similarly, in Olude and Ota-Efun PHC, in Olorunda local government PHC, the issues of consumables, security personnel and shortage of staff were also discussed and the Roll Back Malaria team promise to ensure that the issues of security personnel will automatically be activated as priority.
