Gov Adeleke’s Wife, Erelu Ngozi Pledges Support For Girl Child Education, Menstrual Health in Osun

In resolute commitment to advancing girl child education and promoting menstrual health in Osun State, Her Excellency, AMB Erelu Ngozi Adeleke, the Wife of the Governor, pledged unwavering support during her address to a cross-section of students at the CSD Hall in Iperindo, Atakumosa East Local Government today.

 

The occasion marked the commencement of the “Pad Up a Girl Child” initiative for the year 2024, aimed at addressing critical issues surrounding menstrual health and ensuring access to education for every girl in the state.

 

Her Excellency emphasized the pivotal role education plays in the empowerment of girls, stating, “We are dedicated to fostering an environment where every girl has access to quality education, and we recognize the importance of addressing menstrual health as a crucial aspect of their overall well-being.”

 

The event, held at the CSDP Hall in Iperindo, provided an opportunity for the Wife of the Governor to engage directly with students and underscore the significance of collective efforts in ensuring a brighter future for the girl child.

 

As Osun State continues to strive towards educational excellence and the well-being of its citizens, initiatives like “Pad Up a Girl Child” reinforce the state’s commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for the empowerment of young girls.

 

The Governor’s wife urged stakeholders, including community leaders, educators, and parents, to join hands in championing the cause of girl child education and menstrual health, acknowledging that collaboration is key to achieving sustainable progress.
