UNIMED’s Dean of PG School, Adebimpe, Inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Public Health

The Dean of Postgraduate School, Prof. Olalekan Adebimpe was inducted as Fellow of the Prestigious Academy of Public Health. He was inducted at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua International Centre in Abuja, Nigeria, on Monday, 24th November, 2025

 

Adebimpe, a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians (Community Health), also holds a PhD in Public Health and a PhD in Epidemiology.

 

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ebunoluwa Adejuyigbe congratulated the new Fellow and hailed him for his invaluable contributions to public health in Nigeria. “I congratulate Prof. Olalekan Adebimpe on his elevation to the fellowship of Academy of Public Health. This is a feat well deserved, given his invaluable contributions to the field of public health over the years”, she said.

 

The Fellowship came in recognition of his contributions to Public Health in the areas of academics, clinical practice, community service, research, training and Public Health programmes.
