Speaking during the 2025 edition of the Atupa Olojumerindinlogun (Lighting of the Sixteen-Point Lamp), a significant ritual of the annual Osun Osogbo Festival held at the Oja Oba Market Square in Osogbo. Hon. Ojo said the current administration remains passionate about preserving and enhancing cultural values.

He noted that the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke sees culture as a vital tool for economic growth, stressing that ongoing developments within the Osun Grove are only a glimpse of more to come. “What we are witnessing is just the beginning. Governor Adeleke is a lover of culture, and Osun Osogbo Festival is not just a cultural celebration, but also a source of income and identity for our people,” he stated.

The Commissioner highlighted the visible improvements at the grove, urging the public to visit and verify the progress. He added that more developmental projects are underway to further elevate the festival’s status and attract global tourism.

“Governor Adeleke is a man of his word. His dedication to cultural preservation is evident, and we are optimistic that his re-election will guarantee even greater strides in this sector. I encourage our people to support his vision,” he said.

Hon. Ojo also used the opportunity to commend the people of Osun State for their continued support and participation in cultural events. He congratulated the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, traditional worshippers, and residents for witnessing yet another successful edition of the festival.
