Osun Council For Art and Culture Condoles Family, Oke- Ila Community On The Demise Of Olori Solape Abolarin

Management and staff of Osun State Council for Art and Culture, under the Chairmanship of Hon. Ebenezer Adeniji (Ebenco), has extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved royal family of Abolarin, the people of Oke- Ila Community, and the entire Osun State on the passing of the Executive Secretary of the Council, Olori Christianah Solape Abolarin, also known as the beautiful queen of Oke-Ila who gave up the ghost on Monday, June 9th, 2025 after a brief illness.

 

A statement signed by the Chairman of Osun State Council for Art and Culture, Hon. Ebenezer Adeniji (Ebenco) and made available to newsmen emphasized that the late Mrs Abolarin was a talented and beloved individual who had undoubtedly touched the lives of many.

 

The statement read in part, ” It is with deep sadness that we share in this loss and grief during this difficult time with the Oke-Ila community, Osun State Government and Ministry of Culture and Tourism family, particularly the Ogunbode family in Igbeti, Oyo State and Abolarin family in Oke- Ila over the passage of our illustrious queen of Oke-Ila, Olori Solape Abolarin.

 

“The Culture and Tourism sectors in Osun recognizes the immense impact that Solape Abolarin’s death has on the community of Oke-Ila, and Osun State in general.

 

“Our prayers for the family and friends of the deceased is that God will grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and make Olori Abolarin’s soul find solace in the bosom of the Lord”, the statement concluded.

 

Mrs Christianah Solape Abolarin was born to the family of pa Gabriel Abiola Ogunbode in Igbeti, Olorunsogo Local Government Area of Oyo State on 21st of June 1973. She started her civil service carer in Oyo State on 3rd of July 2000 as Executive Officer (General Duties) and was confirmed in July 3rd 2002. She later converted to the post of an Administrative Officer II, GL08.

 

She progressed in her service in Oyo State having served in various MDA’s such as Ministry of Finance, Ministry of lands and office of the Governor.

 

She transferred her service to Osun State as a Principal Administrative Officer with effect from 1st February 2014 and was posted to Bureau of Public Service pension.

 

Olori Christiana Solape Abolarin was an exemplary, dutiful and filled with morals in her relationship with both junior and senior colleague. She was a Director of Administrative and Supplies before her appointment as Executive Secretary, Osun State Council for Art and Culture on 23rd January 2023.

 

Late Olori Solape Abolarin, nee Ogunbode got married to Oba Adedokun Omoniyi Abolarin, Aroyinkeye I of Oke-Ila on 6th April, 2012 and the union is blessed.

 

She will be buried on Tuesday 17th June, 2025 at Seven Day Adventist Church, Oke-Ila, as disclosed by the family.

May her soul rest in peace.
