Ooni Honours NIESV President Alonge With Chieftaincy Title Of Awokose Omoluabi Oodua

The Arole Oodua Olofin Adimula, Oonirisa Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, CFR in a grand ceremony on Friday October 17, 2025 at the Ile Oduduwa, Ooni’s Palace, Ile-Ife, Osun State, bestowed the prestigious chieftaincy title of the “Awokose Omoluabi Oodua” on the President and Chairman of Council, ESV Victor Alonge PNIVS, FRICS, FCIoD.

 

Speaking during the conferment, Oonirisa Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi said, the title “Awokose Omoluabi Oodua”, meaning role model, mirror for example, or pacesetter was conferred on the President in recognition of his sterling and highly valued qualities of hard work, integrity, empathy, kindness, responsibility, courage, knowledge, education, dedication and leadership positions in the development real estate sector, outstanding contributions to the socio-economic development of Nigeria, and service to humanity.

 

“Your exceptional bravery, strategic leadership, deep commitment to professional and national development are other qualities qualifies you for the prestigious title of “Awokose Omoluabi Oodua”, the revered traditional ruler said.

 

He commended the President for demonstrating the attributes of excellence and good character, and for being poignantly consistent and passionately committed to the protection and preservation of the Yoruba culture, and its integrity, in addition to his good works, and philanthropic gesture through which he has positively impacted every nook and cranny of the country.

 

As the Awokose Omoluabi Oodua, he urged him to remain steadfastly committed to these attributes, while praying that God will continue to give you good health, strength and wisdom.

 

During the ceremony, President and Chairman of Council, ESV Victor Alonge PNIVS, FRICS, FCIoD expressed deep appreciation to Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi for bestowing on him the honour which he described as a significant milestone in his life and legacy. He stated that his primary goal has always been to impact leadership, governance, the community and humanity.

“This title is an honour, a call to action and service. I have always done what I can, and with this new title and I promise not to relent, I will continue to support the Ooni in every way for the advancement of Yorubaland and humanity, and I passionately appeal to every Yoruba individual to support our worthy mission to promote our cherished heritage worldwide”, the President said.
