OSUN FIRST LADY, TITILOLA ADELEKE FLAGS OFF FOOD PALLIATIVES, MEDICAL AID FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE

Osun First Lady, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adeleke, has flagged off the distribution of food palliatives and medical aid for elderly people in the state.
The initiative, organized by the Office of the First Lady in collaboration with ANGY CARE Health Foundation, the Osun State Ministry of Health, and other stakeholders, was launched at the Osun State General Hospital, Cottage Area, Ede.
Speaking at the event, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adeleke, reaffirmed her commitment to the well-being of senior citizens who have devoted their lives to building the community and society at large.
She emphasized that her office remains dedicated to initiatives that uplift and support vulnerable citizens, particularly the elderly, ensuring they live with dignity, comfort, and good health.
She also expressed appreciation to ANGY CARE Health Foundation, the Osun State Ministry of Health, and other stakeholders for their contributions to making the initiative a success.
In his goodwill message, the Commissioner for Health, Barr. Jola Akintola, commended the Office of the First Lady and the CEO of ANGY CARE Health Foundation for spearheading this impactful initiative. He also applauded the beneficiaries for maintaining order and assured them that everyone would be attended to. He further announced that the program would take place in three towns—Ede, Osogbo, and Ilesa—from April 4 to April 6, 2025.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Osun State Primary Health Care Development Board, Alhaji Tajudeen Adisa, praised the First Lady’s office and ANGY CARE Health Foundation for remembering the elderly and took the opportunity to highlight Governor Ademola Adeleke’s achievements in the health sector.
In her keynote address, the CEO of ANGY CARE Health Foundation, Mrs. Motilayo Omoniyi, expressed gratitude to Governor Adeleke and Chief Mrs. Titilola Adeleke for providing an enabling environment to carry out the program. She listed some of the free medical aid and food items being distributed, including glasses, walking sticks, commodes, hearing aids, blood pressure machines, glucosamine, rice, and gari.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Isiaka Adekunle, appreciated the intervention of the First Lady’s office and ANGY CARE Health Foundation, a non-governmental organization affiliated with the United Nations, for their commitment to supporting the elderly in Osun State.
In his vote of thanks, the Director of Public Health, Dr. Akeem Bello, acknowledged the Governor for creating an enabling environment for the program and commended the organizers for their efforts.
One of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the kind gesture extended through the First Lady’s office and prayed for the continued success and longevity of the administration.
