Work Diligently, Don’t Copy Negative Tendencies – Information Commissioner Tells Staff

Public Servants in Osun State have been charged to work diligently and shun negative tendencies that could be inimical to the government of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
This as they were charged to be hardworking and ensure service delivery, through the various departments, and agencies of government to the people of Osun state.
This admonitions were given by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi at his official inaugural meeting with the staff of the Ministry on Friday.
The Commissioner, who commended a devoted staff of the Ministry, urged all the staff not to embrace lateness, laziness or absenteeism to duties, advancing there are always profitable rewards for hardwork.
While reiterating that governance is about good planning and consideration of people’s welfare as end result for every program and policy of the government, he affirmed that the government of Ademola Adeleke is ready to serve the people, and that his government will benefit all and sundry.
Appreciating the Information Officers and other staff in the Ministry, he harped on the need for efficient and effective reportage of government activities.
Earlier in her welcome remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment, Mrs. Abimbola Babatunde applauded Governor Ademola Adeleke for the appointment of Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, who she described as a round peg in a round hole, despite his status as a barrister at law.
She lauded the Commissioner for hitting the ground running immediately after his inauguration, and assured him of the cooperation of the Ministry, saying that Osun Civil servants know the worth of Governor Ademola Adeleke and will continue to appreciate him, she stated.
The meeting, which was well attended by the entire staff of the Ministry was also graced by the Special Adviser to Governor Ademola on Adeleke on Public Enlightenment, Mr. Eniola Odeniyi.
