Osun Govt Commissions Science Lab, Borehole, with reticulation, at Odeomu High School

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has commissioned a block of three rooms science laboratory alongside borehole with reticulation at Odeomu High Sch in Ayedaade Local Government Area of the State.
This is as Governor Adeleke lauded Osun Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) for it’s various human development and infrastructure programmes across the State.
The Governor made this known at the commissioning programme held at Odeomu High School, Oke Yidi community, Ode-omu.
At the official commissioning, where the Governor was represented by his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, he maintained that science rules the world, hence science education laboratory being provided in schools is important to learning.
He added that laboratories provide students with various opportunities to learn and experiment, which play a crucial role in the ongoing intellectual development of students at any academic level, adding that the science laboratory project will bring development and provide springboard for many sciences oriented students to find their bearings in life.
Stating that the importance of water can not be overemphasized, as water is needed for survival, just as education is also important for every growing children, he described education as the most powerful weapon needed to change the world.
Mr Governor, congratulated Osun Community and Social Development Agency for being a good ambassador of the government in spreading dividends of democracy to the nooks and crannies of the State.
The number one Osun citizen also appreciated the World Bank, through the Task Team Leader and Federal Cares Support Unit among others, for good collaboration in the interest of the populace.
In his remarks, the President of Odeomu Development Union, Mr Akinlabi Olaniyi applauded the gesture of Osun government for the community people, and assured that the facility will be used judiciously and maintained well.
In their goodwill messages, the Alayegun of Odeomu, Oba James Alani Oladipo, the Ayedaade Local Government Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Y.O Akande, the Executive Secretary,Osun State Senior Secondary School Education Board, Mrs Taiwo Adeagbo and Mr Adedapo Lateef representing the Coordinating Director Ministry of Rural Development and Community Affairs, separately lauded Osun government for the laudable project.
They urged the school to sustain the project and requested the government for availability of teachers, and other infrastructures such as good road network and electricity among others.
Earlier in her welcome address, the General Manager Osun CSDA, Mrs Funmi Abokede said the intervention project is part of achievements of the first hundred days of Governor Ademola Adeleke in office.
She reiterated that children are the future of any society, and that education is the key to eliminating inequality and poverty, adding that the two micro projects are for basic economic and social conditions of the communities in Osun State.
She gave kudos to the Osun Governor for walking his talk in development agenda to ensure that electoral promises are translated into the needed social amenities and development.
The commissioning of science laboratory and borehole with reticulation at Odeomu High School was the last batch of the first set of micro projects made available by Osun Community and Social Development Agency for the people of the State.
