OSUN CP APPRECIATES THE ELECTORATES FOR ORDERLY CONDUCT DURING LAST ELECTION
… urges them to improve on conduct for State House of Assembly Election on 11th March, 2023.
The Commissioner of Police, Osun State have appreciated electorates in the state for their good conduct during the last Presidential and National Assembly Election.
Describing the attitude displayed by the residents as real virtues of Osun State, He urged them to be more orderly in the forthcoming House of Assembly Election, while reassuring the general public of adequate security before, during and beyond the election.
In the release e-signed and released to the public by Osun Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, SP Yemisi Opalola, mnipr, the Command used the medium to reiterate that, restriction of Vehicular/Motorcycle movement will be enforced to the latter, adding that there would be no movements from 12am to 6pm on the Election Day, except for those on essential services.
Also, the Police Command warns against spreading of fake news or provocative content on social media with the intent to cause apprehension/panic in the State.
The Osun Police Command furthermore appealed to parents/guardians to monitor their children/ wards and prevent them from getting involved in any act of violence, criminal activities or being used as political thugs to disrupt the election process.
Similarly, the Osun CP appealed to politicians in the state to caution their supporters to shun any form of violence and avoid heating up the polity.
