International Day of Living together in Peace: Osun Govt promises to foster more peace and security

Today is a day specifically set aside all over the world to celebrate International Day of Living together in Peace.
Congratulating the government and good people of Osun state and humanity in general, the State government in the spirit of the occasion reiterated its commitment to continue to entrench an atmosphere of peace and security throughout the State.
The measure according to a statement issued by the state Commissioner for information and Civic Orientation, Mrs Funke Egbemode to mark the occasion is to further entrench an atmosphere of oneness, peace,unity and harmonious coexistence which over the years has made Osun many steps ahead of other states in Nigeria.
Mrs Egbemode recalled with joy and satisfaction that since the inception of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola led administration ,the peaceful coexistence of the citizens and even non citizens of the state can best be experienced than narrated.
She stated emphatically “In our dear state of Omoluabi under an Omoluabi governor,Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, life is good and peaceful, devoid of any let down, anxiety or apprehension of any kind as the case may be in the almost four year old administration.
“People of the state have been enjoying an atmosphere of peace ,love and oneness which makes the state a home for all.
“In our dear Osun state ,brotherhood and oneness is the order of the day as citizens and non citizens live and co habit mutually and beneficially with one another.
“Kudos must, therefore,be given to our amiable governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola for his tireless efforts in doing things morally and officially possible at his executive disposal to keep and sustain an atmosphere of peace and harmony at all times” – concluded the information commissioner.
While appreciating the citizens and non citizens of the state for their love and support to Oyetola led administration, Mrs Egbemode urged all to continue to live in peace and harmony with one another regardless of age, race, gender, language or religion.
She equally admonished them to continue to make tolerance and peace their watchwords stressing that there cannot be development where these two ingredients are lacking.
