HFDI: EBI ALAYO KICKS OFF WITH BODY EXERCISE AND DISCUSS IN KWARA COMMUNITIES

Ebi Alayo, a program organized by Hope for Family Development Initiative has kicked off in parts of Kwara state with body exercise and discuss carried out by the participants across the communities.
The Family development-oriented program under Integrated Child Health and Social Services Award ICHSSA held at Offa, Ilorin South and Oyun Local government areas of Kwara state.
The forum which consisted of both caregivers and teenagers highlighted the importance of happy home and cultivating a healthy relationship between the caregivers and their teenagers, it also discussed the essence of building a positive relationship in a home towards a better and brighter future for the teenagers.
Body Exercise session herald the discuss and other agenda at the program, as the participants gained knowledge on the importance of body exercise to the general well-being of every human.
The manual of the program was discussed and treated before the discussions of the day which introduced the program and defined its goals, it talked about spending quality time together, praises and emotions.
The participants who were enlightened about the usefulness of the Ebi-Alayo forum and were also urged to be free-minded to participate in the discussion, charged to have positive goals, specific and realistic, and learnt that spending time together allows communication, knowing needs and wants, a positive relationship, understanding emotions and its effects as well as knowing how it can affect relationship with adolescents positively and negatively.
For easy understanding of the participants respective roles as caregivers and teenagers, a role play was staged, followed by open discussion. The day’s activities at the beneficiary local governments in Kwara state ended with home assessment and activity.
