HFDI Conducts Tuberculosis Review in Kwara

Towards alleviating the challenges of Tuberculosis by its victims, Hope for Family Development Initiatives, HFDI conducted a review meeting at his Kwara state office in Ilorin South local government.

 

The review meeting which also featured Tuberculosis TB training for the Community Mobilization Managers CMM described Tuberculosis as a communicable disease caused by a bacterium (Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex) which affects mainly the lungs.

The CMMs were enlightened on how TB disease affects other part of the body, referred to as extra pulmonary TB, and the TB screening process.

 

The review meeting under Integrated Child Health and Social Services Award, ICHSSA explored the work done on the ICHASSA-2 Project, it disclosed its challenges and as well as how to handle the challenges from the clients and the facilities.

 

The Community Mobilization Managers at the training also learnt how to use the MUAC tape used in Nutrition assessment, and were charged to put in their best to ensure the success of the ICHASSA-2 PROJECT in Kwara state.
