Adelekes’ Govt Is For Everyone, Not Ede Alone, Critics Are Only Being Mischievous – Information Commissioner

The government of Governor Ademola Adeleke has been described as one for everybody in the State, and not for Ede Indigenes alone, as being speculated by mischievous critics.
This assertion was made by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi on a radio programme while speaking on the activities of the current administration in the State.
Describing the speculation by critics as, “criticism without substance,” Oluomo Alimi charged the opposition to imbibe constructive criticism.
Citing examples of former Governors who appointed cabinet members from their respective town, Ila-Orangun and Iragbiji respectively, he added that in the current dispensation, other towns and local governments in the State have more appointments than Ede Local Government.
Oluomo Alimi pinpointed that Ila-Orangun, under the government of Senator Ademola Adeleke, has a Senator, a House of Representatives member, as well as commissioners, adding that Ile-Ife has four Commissioners, while Ede Local Government doesn’t have such quantity of appointees.
He stated that the recently inaugurated Permanent Secretaries in the State where appointed on merit, irrespective of their locality, stressing that the critics are being mischievous by trying to paint the government black.
Oluomo Alimi further advanced that those who were appointed were based on their capabilities and ability to deliver, being indigenes of Osun State from various local government areas of the State.
He then called on the people to continue to support the government of Governor Ademola Adeleke, assuring them that the tireless efforts of the present leadership will propel laudable development in Osun State.
